I know this topic is a bit dated but I'm new to this blog thing and feel the need to express my opinion! What are the government doing?? Why do we now need to pay £3000 tuition fees instead of £1000??

And it's "ok" because you can get a loan for it - actually, just thinking, why would I want an extra 9 grand to pay back on top of my 12 grand standard student loan? Hmm...Are the benefits of going to uni now totally outweighed by debt?

Another question I've never found the answer to is, do foreign students have to pay that too? Are there other costs you have to pay? I got accepted into Edinburgh uni (didn't do that course in the end...) but never looked into whether I'd get tuition fees paid for like Scottish citizens do or whether I'd have to pay them?

Does anyone have any answers? I'd like to hear from international students as well as UK students. Also, anyone that wants to stick up for the government - I suppose it's always good to hear both sides of the story :?:
